What is Integrative Manual Therapy?

Integrative Manual Therapy was developed by the Institute of Integrative Manual Therapy in Connecticut by Dr. Sharon Giammatteo, Ph.D., IMT-C and Thomas Giammatteo, P.T., D.C., Ph.D.-IMT-C

This holistic approach uses a variety of diagnostic techniques to assist in finding the primary area of dysfunction while the techniques themselves use gentle touch along with pressure to alleviate muscle spasm and engages the body into restoring integrity to the tissues.

Touch and reflexes help to engage the the body's nervous system into responding to accomplish the healing.

Many times pain and dysfunction is an indicator that there is a compromise in the tissue or system.  IMT is designed to help relieve the underlying problem.

The sessions are fully clothed in a relaxing atmosphere.
